NOTE:
Turn off the power switch and unplug the electrical cord
to replace the brush roll belt.
NOTE:
If the tanks contain liquid, remove both tanks before
placing the handle on the floor.

* When reinstalling the brush roll, check the end caps for correct alignment into the base of the unit. Sometimes
th e squares of the end caps become off-center. By h oldin g on e en d an d turn in g th e oth er, realign men t can
be corrected.

4. Lift brush roll out an d remove worn belt.
5. Squeeze th e sides of n ew belt togeth er an d place it

7. Align brush roll en d caps with open in gs in base.
8. Push down on th e brush roll to secure it ( Figure 3) .
9. Rotate th e brush roll un til th e belt is in place.

The brush roll belt on the carpet shampooer/ extractor drives
th e brush to agitate, sweep, an d comb th e carpet n ap. Ch eck
th e belt regularly to be sure it is in good con dition . Replace
th e belt if it is stretch in g, crackin g or slippin g. Cut away an y
h air or th read woun d aroun d th e brush roll or th e belt pulley
because th e buildup could cause th e belt to rotate un even ly.
