29. D etermine the length of the rods 076058 (Fig. 7) based on the staircase dimensions and cut them. It is
advisable to bend the rod into a helical shape as close as possible to the handrail 140051. Assemble the rods
076058. To facilitate fitting the rods in correspondence to the joining balusters, remove the parts 033159 and
033160. Finally, tighten the parts 001011 previously fitted in the parts 034040 of the intermediate balusters (y).
30. C omplete the railing assembly by fitting the parts 031064 to the lower part of the balusters 127031 or 127035
and the parts 004051 to the sides of the treads (Fig. 1).
Landing balustrade assembly
31. Mark the distance between centres of the balusters so that you can fit at least four.
32. S crew the parts 001004 into the part 033063. Fit the part 033063 on the tie-rod 046036 with the parts
011038, 009005 and 131028 (Fig. 1).
33. D rill a hole in the landing using a 5 mm Ø bit. Position the parts 033063, using the parts 002040 and 001004
on the landing. Cut 12mm off the end baluster (in correspondence to the central column). Position the end
balusters (x) and the intermediate balusters (y) 127032 or 127036 with the parts 034040 turned outward.
34. C ut 5 cm off one end of the straight handrail 140018 or 140053 and fasten the part 033164 using the parts
011069 and 004034. Cut the other end based on the dimensions of the balustrade, drill a hole using a 6 mm Ø
bit to fasten the part 033164 or drill a hole using a 3,5 mm Ø bit to fasten the parts 033162+033163 with the
parts 012014. Fasten the handrail 140018 or 140053 using the parts 002031, checking that the
balusters are vertical. Tighten the parts 001004 (Fig. 1).
35. D epending on the position and whether there are walls around the opening of the staircase, one or two extra
balusters 127032 or 127036 may need to be positioned (Fig. 8).
36. I n this case, allow for a space equidistant from the other balusters or from the wall. Drill a hole in the landing
using a 5 mm Ø bit and tighten the parts 033063, 001004 and 002040 (Fig. 1) (Fig. 8).
Fitting a balustrade on the floor (Fig. 14): determine the position of the balusters 127032 or 127036 on the
floor, on average one every 28 cm and at a distance from the edge of about 8 cm.
Warning: For circular balustrades, use the circular handrail 140073 to determine the distance of the balusters
from the edge of the floor opening; this distance varies depending on the radius of the circular handrail supplied.
In case of reinforced concrete floors, drill a hole using a 10 mm Ø bit and fit the parts 046015 fastening them
with chemical resin (not provided). In case of wooden floors, drill a hole using a 6,5 mm Ø bit and directly screw
on the part 046015 using the two nuts 005001. Assemble the parts 033063 with the parts 009002 and
005001. Fit the balustrade balusters (H= 910 mm) 127032 or 127036 to the parts 033063, and lock them
with the parts 001004. In case of straight balustrades, fit the reinforcement balusters 127034 or 127037
approximately every metre. Fasten the balusters to the wall using the part 033010 with the parts 031059
008004, 011053, 033056, 011057 and 005035 (drill a hole using an 8 mm Ø bit). Determine the length of
the handrails and cut off the excess. Assemble the straight handrails 140018 or 140053 or circular handrails
140073 to the balusters with the parts 002031 joining them with the parts 031076 and 046011 for straight
balustrades and the parts 031073, 031077 and 002026 for circular balustrades. Assemble any joining parts
033164, 033163, 033162 and end parts 033164 (Fig. 14).
37. D etermine the length of the rods 076058 based on the dimension of the balustrade and cut them. In case
of circular balustrades, it is advisable to bend the rod into a circular shape as close as possible to the
circular handrail 140073. To facilitate fitting the rods in correspondence to the joining balusters, remove the
parts 033159 and 033160. Finally, tighten the parts 001011 previously fitted in the parts 034040 of the
intermediate balusters (y).
Final assembly
38. T o further stiffen the staircase at the intermediate points, fasten the parts 033010 to the wall and join them to
the balusters using the parts 033056. Drill a hole using an 8 mm Ø bit and use the parts 008004, 011053,
011057, 005035 (Fig. 12) (Fig. 13)
