HOW TO PREPARE
FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Fresh, crisp thoroughly washed produce is best for juicing. The Omega® Cold Press 365®
Wide Mouth Juicer can extract juice from un-peeled fruits and vegetables, but your taste
may prefer peeled produce.
Soft produce will process easier if refrigerated.
Cut fruits and vegetables into tall, thin pieces to fit in the chute.
Turn [ON] machine and let it run without interruption until all juice has been extracted.
Alternate soft and firm items. It is best to start with the softer items and finish with firmer items.
If the pulp starts to clog the drum, turn [OFF] machine and empty/wash the drum set.
Reassemble and resume normal operation.
After placing the last piece of fruit or vegetable into the chute, keep the machine running
for a few seconds to ensure all juice is extracted.
After every use thoroughly clean all parts that come into contact with food or juice with
warm water and dishwashing liquid using a cleaning brush.
Use caution when juicing the following ingredients:
- Fruits with hard seeds such as plums, peaches, apricots or similar should be pitted
before extraction.
- Stalk vegetables with strong fiber should be cut into tall thin pieces to fit into the hopper.
- When juicing celery keep the juice flap open and do not use more than l lb. of fresh celery
stalks at one time.
- Because celery contains a lot of minerals and fiber, the pulp may become lodged in the
auger and filter basket after a lot of celery is juiced.
- Only use fresh fruits and vegetables.
