Pressure Release Screw
The "valve" or "pressure release screw" (in the centre of the board) compensates the difference of
air pressure inside and outside the board (mostly caused by extreme temperature / sun exposure).
Installing the Pressure Release Screw:
1. Insert the pressure release screw and O-Ring seal into the pressure release hole, located on the
deck between the front foot strap inserts.
2. Carefully tighten the pressure release screw ensuring that the bolt is correctly aligned. Misalign-
ment may damage the thread and seal.
:
Caution
Always ensure that the pressure release valve is closed prior to any contact with water,
and opened when either stored in extreme temperatures or transported through large changes in
altitude.
To give your race board a long life:
• Use recommended Cabrinha fins, foot straps and accessories
• Tighten the foot strap screws firmly. DO NOT over tighten.
• The foot strap screws are subject to extreme loads and forces, and should be checked regularly if
still tight.
• Make sure you have no sand in your fin box before you attach the fin.
• Tighten the fin box screw firmly.
• The fin box screw is subject to extreme loads and forces and should be checked regularly if still
tight.
• Store your Cabrinha board in a board bag to prevent unnecessary sun exposure, scratches and
other wear and tear while the board is not in use.
• Regularly check your board for holes, coming from any damage.
• In case you find any damage make sure these are sealed and fixed properly before further use.
