any pressure on the arm.
- Take the measurement on the same
arm. Take the measurement on the
left arm; the right arm may be used
only when there is some impediment
to using the left arm.
- To take the measurement sitting
down, relax the arm on a table,
keeping the wristband at the height
of the heart (Fig. 3). If it is above
or below the level of the heart, the
accuracy of the measurement will be
affected. During the measurement,
do not speak or move your body or
the arm.
- To take the measurement lying
down, lie on your back for at least 5
minutes and relax the arm. Keep the
wristband at the height of the heart
(Fig. 4). If it is above or below the
level of the heart, the accuracy of the
measurement will be affected. During
the measurement, do not speak or
move your body or the arm.
- Start the appliance by pressing the
start/stop button. The LCD display
screen will light up showing all
the symbols. Wait until you hear a
"beep".
- The relevant memory number
will now appear (U1 or U2). Press
the memory button to change the
memory. Once this has been selected,
press the start button to see the
previous measurement values shown.
If there are no measurements in
the memory, the screen will display
"0". The wrist cuff will now expand
automatically.
- Keep still, without talking and with
the appliance at the level of your
heart until the measurement process

has finished.
- When the measurement process has
finished, the wrist cuff will contract
automatically and the LCD screen will
display the values of systolic pressu-
re, diastolic pressure and heartbeat
rhythm. On the left-hand side of the
screen will be displayed the indicator
of blood pressure classification in
accordance with the parameters of
the WHO (Fig. 5).
- When 1 minute has passed since
the last measurement, the appliance
will automatically pass into standby
mode.
Reading values stored in the memory:
- The last measurement, together
with the date and time it was taken,
is automatically stored in the memory
selected (U1 or U2). Each group of
memories contains a maximum of 60
measurements.
- In order to consult previous mea-
surements, press the memory button
when the appliance is in "stop"
mode. The LCD screen will display
for a period of 5 seconds the relevant
memory (U1 or U2) and the number
of measurements stored. Press the
start button to select another memory
group and the screen will then display
the last measurement stored for the
memory selected.
- Press the memory button to see the
measurements stored in chronological
order.
- When the appliance has not been
in use for 2 minutes, it will return to
"stop" mode automatically.
