Two-Gear Selector (fi g. G)
Your tool is fi tted with a two gear selector (5) to
vary the speed/torque ratio.
Position

For speed rates, refer to the technical data.
WARNING: Always push the two gear
selector completely forward or backward.
WARNING: Do not change gears at full
speed or during use.

Proper Hand Position (fi g. A, H)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious

hand position as shown.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of serious
personal injury, ALWAYS hold securely in
anticipation of a sudden reaction.
Proper hand position requires one hand on the main
handle (15) for either drilling position as shown.
Switching On and Off (fi g. A)
● To run the tool, press the switch (1).
● To stop the tool, release the switch.
● To lock the tool in the off position, move the
forward/reverse slider (2) to the central position.
Screwdriving (fi g. A)
● Insert the appropriate screwdriver bit.
● Select the desired gear.
● Select forward or reverse rotation.

● Set the collar (4) to position 1 and begin
screwdriving (low torque) (Fig. E).
● If the clutch ratchets too soon, adjust the collar
to increase the torque as required.

Drilling smaller holes
● Insert the appropriate bit.
● Select the drilling mode using the collar (4)
(Fig. E).
● Select the appropriate gear.
● Select forward rotation.
Drilling in Metal
● Use a cutting lubricant when drilling metals. The
exceptions are cast iron and brass which should
be drilled dry.
Drilling in Wood
● Use the appropriate type of drill bit.
MAINTENANCE
