The HR5 Reader is both Bluetooth and WiFi enabled and can be
searched for and connected to by other devices (Discoverable), or
perform a search to ini ate the connec on itself. Only one Bluetooth
or one Wifi device can be connected to the reader at any me.
Note: WiFi func onality is only available on HR5 v2 hardware.

Bluetooth Setup

1. From the Main Menu screen, use the arrow keys to select the
Wireless icon
2. The Wireless screen will display, showing the last known
connec on as either Bluetooth (default for fi rst me
connec ons) or WiFi.
• To change the type of communica on, select the fi eld where
Bluetooth or WiFi is displayed and press
to change the communica on type and press
Note: Selec ng
ba ery power if a communica on connec on is not required.
3. The connec on status and device table display and the connec on
status changes to 'Discoverable' mode.
Note: The table will be empty if no devices have previously been
found. Any previously connected devices will be displayed in
parentheses. e.g. '(Gallagher-TSi)'
