2-1.5 Assembling the 3-rung extension and the 6-rung extension

• Mount the 3-rung extension on the 3-rung extension.
• Mount the 6-rung extension on the base ladder.
• Lock the 3-rung and 6-rung extensions in place with the 4 x Ø10 tube-clip pins.

2-1.6 Assembling braces with the safety pole

If required, the pole can be extended by
pushing in the pin at the base of the pole....
Turn the hooks so that the
y are perpendicular
to the nose...
The brace is then ready to be mounted on the scaffolding.
Repeat these steps when installing each brace (when it is not possible to assemble them directly by hand).
Then install the middle rails 2 rungs below the other braces using the same technique as before.

DO NOT JAM THE HOOKS IN THE
ENDS OF THE BRACE WHEN
USING THE POLE.
...insert the brace (the right
way around) underneath the
hooks at the end of the pole...
...and sliding the two tubes until the new
position is reached and the pin re-engages
with one of the holes in the tube.
...lock the brace in position by
turning the nose of the pole
until it is under the brace.

split pin is
locked
