HOW TO SET THE PROTECTION ON A
PROGRAMME
By activating the protection on a programme you can prevent
it from being viewed: the screen simply displays the word
"LOCKED" on a black background.
Let us suppose we want to lock programme 9:
1. Select programme 9 by pressing button 9 on the numerical
buttons (4).
2. Enter the menus of the second Carousel by keeping
MENU button (8) pressed for at least 2 sec.
3. Enter the INSTALLATION menu by pressing MENU button
(8).
4. The screen displays the INSTALLATION menu with the
CURSOR highlighting the PROGRAMME entry
[B-39]

5. Move the cursor to PROTECTION by using the
[B-40]

7. Move the cursor to STORE by using the
[B-41]

8. Store the programme using the - / + buttons (7). The word
'STORED' appears for a few seconds and disappears
as soon as the system has carried out the operation.
9. Return to the TV mode by pressing button (14).
NOTE: the access protection to the programme is now set. It
shall have no effect if the MAIN PROTECTION (see following
paragraph) is not active.
HOW TO ACTIVATE THE "MAIN PROTEC-
TION"
1. Enter the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu by pressing MENU
button (8) four times or press the BLUE coloured button (13).
2. The screen displays the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu with
the red CURSOR on the word INPUT.
