6.7 Firmware upgrade

You can update the analytic instrument by upgrading the firmware.
The latest firmware can be downloaded from www.wika.de.
CAUTION!
Incomplete firmware upgrade may cause damage to the instrument
If the power supply is terminated during the firmware installation, the
instrument may be damaged.
Do not disconnect the analytic instrument from the mains or shut it down

during installation.
Ensure continuous voltage supply.

Performing upgrade
1. Download firmware from www.wika.de.
The zip-file "UPGRADE" contains a folder "upgrade". This must be copied to the USB
stick (drive letter:\upgrade)
The USB stick must have a USB 2.0 connection or higher. It also must be
high-quality and fast.
2. Connect USB data carrier to the switched off analytic instrument.
3. Connect the analytic instrument to the mains (no battery operation).
4. Switch on analytic instrument.
5. Wait until the installation is finished. Do not disconnect the analytic instrument from
the mains during installation.
The following screen will appear during installation.
If this screen is not displayed, the USB stick is too slow or the folder path
is incorrect.
6. If necessary, calibrate the touchscreens. Confirm the positions of 5 cross-hairs with
the touchpen.
7. Disconnect the USB data carrier from the analytic instrument after the "Update
completed" message shows up.
