SINGLE PIPE (2", 2-1/2" or 3" Wells) Over the Well,
1. Disassemble the lower flange, Key No. 3, from the casing
adapter. Slide flange over the well casing, recessed side up.
2. Place seal ring, Key No. 2 , over the well casing, flush with
top of casing.
3. After lowering suction pipe into well, screw casing adapter
body onto suction pipe, Figure 1A. Use pipe joint compound
sparingly on male threads only.
4. Lower casing adapter down over the well casing. Adapter
seal ring, Key No. 2, will fit into recess provided in the
adapter body.
5. Raise flange into position, attach with (3) capscrews, Key
No. 6, tighten screws evenly.
6. Next, remove paper backing from the adhesive gasket, Key
No. 4, and apply to the top of the casing adapter making
sure holes are aligned correctly.
7. Next, align locating lug on casing adapter and locating lug
on base of pump and attach with capscrews, Key No. 7,
provided. NOTE: Locating lugs must align with each other in
order for pump to operate.
OFFSET (Horizontal Casing Adapter) – Figure 1B
1. Follow steps 1 thru 5 above.
2. Screw sufficient suction and drive piping into the horizontal
tapping of the casing adapter to provide the required offset.
Elbows and nipples to the flange adapter, Key No. 30, will
complete the piping installation.
3. Next, remove the paper backing from the adhesive gasket,
Key No. 31, and apply the adhesive side of gasket to the
adapter flange, making sure the holes are aligned correctly.
4. Next, align locating lug on the adapter flange with the
193 0893
locating lug on the base of pump and attach with the
capscrews provided.
DOUBLE PIPE – Offset Installation - Figure 1C
1. Install piping and jet. Install well seal.
2. Attach elbows and sufficient horizontal suction and drive
piping to provide the required offset.
3. Install the elbows and nipples to the adapter flange to
complete the piping installation.
4. Next, remove the paper backing from the gasket and apply
the adhesive side of gasket to the top of the adapter flange,
making sure the holes in adhesive gasket align with the
holes in the adapter flange.
5. Place the pump on adapter flange and align locating lug on
the adapter flange with the locating lug on the base of the
pump. Attach pump to adapter flange with the capscrews
provided.
DOUBLE PIPE (4", 5" and 6" Wells) Over the Well,
1. Install jet and piping in well. Install well seal.
2. Attach the flange adapter, Key No. 30, as shown in Figure
1D. Screw the adapter onto the suction pipe, and complete
the drive pipe connection with a nipple and threadless
coupling.
3. Next, remove the paper backing from the adhesive gasket,
Key No. 31, and apply the adhesive side of gasket to the
adapter flange, making sure the holes are aligned correctly.
4. Next, align locating lug on the adapter flange with the
locating lug on the base of pump and attach with the
capscrews provided, Key No. 33.
