IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Failure to follow warnings, instructions and generator operator's manual could result in death
or serious injury. This hose kit assembly shall only be installed by a licensed plumber. This is
not a DIY project, and may require permits and inspections prior to use.
This hose is manufactured and listed in accordance with ANSI Z21.54/CSA 8.4 - Gas Hose
Connectors For Portable Outdoor Gas-Fired Appliances. Check hose label for specific ANSI/CSA
information. Hose requirements may vary in different regions depending on local codes.
Contact your local licensed plumber to ensure complete compliance with all codes.
This product is intended only for use outdoors with portable Natural Gas (NG) generator.
Connected hose assembly shall be of adequate length and capacity for the intended application.
Generator shall be placed no closer than 20 feet (6 m) from any occupied space with exhaust
pointed away.
If a fuel connection is necessary it must be installed in accordance with all local codes or regulations,
or in the absence of local codes or regulations, in accordance with the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA
54/ANSI Z223.1) and CSA B149.1 (Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code), as applicable. In no
case should this information be interpreted to conflict with any local, state, or national code. If in
doubt, always follow local codes.
The fuel supply line must always be shut off when the engine is not running. Failure to shut off fuel
may allow fuel to leak at the generator.
The hose and fittings are designed for movement after installation, but must not be kinked, twisted
or torqued.
Protect hose and fittings from dust, dirt, and damage when not in use. Insert plastic plug in the
socket and the cap over the hose end plug whenever the hose is removed from socket.
Only use the provided quick connect adapter with provided hose assembly.
Remember that whichever fuel delivery system or type of vapor fuel used, the fuel pressure at
the demand regulator installed on the generator must be between 0.25 (1.72 kPa) and
0.40 (2.76 kPa) PSI when the generator is operating at rated load. (7-11 inches (177-279 mm)
of water column or 4~6 oz/in²).Lower pressure will starve the unit for fuel under load. If the
hose and quick connect adapter are properly connected and still not getting gas, delivery
pressure needs to be verified. For pressure greater than 0.5 PSI (3.45 kPa), make sure that an
in-line regulator is present. This additional regulator is NOT provided with this kit. Both the
hose and the quick connect adapter are only rated to 0.5 PSI (3.45 kPa).
The hose assembly, fittings, valves, and adapters must be inspected for any signs of damage and
leak tested prior to each use. Do not use if damaged or leaks are found. Store gas hose indoors
when not in use.
This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which are known to the state of California
to cause cancer or cause birth defects and other reproductive harm. For more information, go to
