Wiring the serial link

• All connections must be made with the power switched off.
• The switch SW1.1 is only read at power on. No changes are recognised when the modem is operating.

2.3.1 RS485 / 232 configuration

By default all modems are supplied in RS232 mode.

The RS485 link need to be adapted (on each side). The modem includes a 100 Ohm termination resistor:
• SW1.2 = ON, the resistor is connected between A and B (respectively RX+ and RX-)
• SW1.2 = OFF, the resistor is not connected between A and B.

2.3.2 RS232 DTE modem

By default, RS232 DTE modems are supplied wired. 200 cm cable, Réf ACC1400AC, 6 wires to DB9F.

2.3.3 RS232 Modem DCE

To wire these modems, we recommend using the pack ref ACC1400AR comprising a 6 wires cable to DB9F + a
power supply.
