Wiring the serial link

All connections must be made with the power switched off.

The switch SW1.1 is only read at power on. No changes are recognised when the modem is operating.
2.3.1 RS485 / 232 configuration
By default all modems are supplied in RS232 mode.

The RS485 link need to be adapted (on each side). The modem includes a 100 Ohm termination resistor:
• SW1.2 = ON, the resistor is connected between A and B (respectively RX+ and RX-)
• SW1.2 = OFF, the resistor is not connected between A and B.
2.3.2 RS232 DTE modem
By default, RS232 DTE modems are supplied wired. 200 cm cable, Réf ACC1400AC, 6 wires to DB9F.
2.3.3 RS232 Modem DCE
To wire these modems, we recommend using the pack ref ACC1400AR comprising a 6 wires cable to DB9F + a
power supply.
