Rear muffler rubber isolator on
Passenger side.

Insert 5/16" flat washers
between rubber isolator
and muffler.

Remove (5) push rivets, (2) Phillip's head screws & (4) nuts that hold the cover panel on the rear driver's side area. This panel
will need to be trimmed or not reinstalled on vehicle. Ask vehicle owner their choice before starting installation. See picture on
following page showing area to be trimmed. Center cover panel can be bent up or trimmed as shown on next page.

Slide (2) rubber isolator hangers holding muffler in place on Passenger's side off of pegs. Spraying with a lubricant helps.

Remove (2) nuts holding rear muffler hanger to Passenger's side frame. These nuts will be replaced with locknuts supplied to
reattach hanger after hitch is

Slide hitch up over muffler and align slots in hitch with weldnuts in vehicle frame as shown in above figure. Sandwich blocks
between hitch and outside of frame both sides as shown. It may help to tape blocks in place before raising into position. Install
(3) 10mm bolts and Washers per side, (6) total to frame.

Reinstall muffler hanger over studs extending thru hitch on Passenger's side. Use 8mm locknuts supplied to reattach hanger.
6.
Remove bolt holding rearmost rubber isolator to muffler. Install (5) 5/16" washers as shown above between isolator and muffler.
7.
Reattach rubber isolator bolt with washers to muffler and slide both rubber isolator hangers removed in Step 2 back on to pegs.
8.
Reinstall trimmed cover panel removed in Step 1. Or return untrimmed panel to vehicle owner.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to
prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working
beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch.
