ELECTRONICS CONTROL LOGIC
The KSA U (U1) model, fig. 8 is equipped with an electronic speed controller with electronic thermostat TSC
for automatic speed control (air flow regulation) depending on air temperature.
The terminal compartment incorporates 2 control knobs:
for setting the motor speed;
for setting the electronic thermostat set point.
The thermostat operation light indicator is located on the fan cover.
To set the thermostat threshold rotate the thermostat control knob clockwise to increase or
counter clockwise to decrease the temperature set point.
To set the fan speed (air capacity) rotate the speed control knob in the same way.
The fan has a temperature based and timer based control logic.
temperature based control logic (KSA U):
to maintain air temperature with accuracy to within 2 °C. The fan changes its speed rarely.
As air temperature rises up to the set temperature point, the fan switches to high speed.
As air temperature drops down 2 °C below the set temperature point or if the initial air temperature is below
the set temperature point, the fan operates at low set speed from the start.
timer based control logic (KSA U1):
to maintain air temperature with high accuracy. The fan changes its speed more often as compared to the
previous control logic, but the minimum operating time at one speed is not less than 5 minutes.
As air temperature rises up to the set point, the fan switches to maximum speed.
Synchronously, the speed switch delay timer is activated for 5 minutes.
As air temperature drops down below the set point, but only after 5 minutes countdown after switching
to high speed, the fan switches to lower set speed.
If the initial temperature is below the set temperature point, the fan operates at low set speed from the start.
The fan KSA P (fig. 9) is equipped with a speed controller that enables switching the fan on/off,
smooth speed (air flow) control from minimum to maximum speed.
MOUNTING
The fan is designed for both horizontal and top installation and may be mounted on the floor or attached
to the wall or to the ceiling, fig. 1. While mounting the fan provide extra protection against water ingress.
The protection examples are shown in fig. 1:
1. For the top mounting position: install a protecting hood above.
2. For any mounting position: connect a straight air duct section at least 1 m long on both sides of the fan.
The fan is supplied with a fixing bracket. The fan casing has 4 attachment points for the fixing bracket to
select the most suitable mounting position of the fan.
While selecting a mounting place provide sufficient access to the fan for servicing and maintenance.
The fan mounting sequence is shown in fig. 2 5.
