Maximum input ratings
Observe all ratings and warnings marked on the probe. The marked voltage is the maximum that
may be applied to the probe without risk of personal injury or damage to the probe or connected
instrument.
The table and frequency derating plot below, and markings on the product, indicate the measurement
range and maximum non-destructive input voltage for the probe.

Input dynamic range: The maximum voltage swing that can be accurately measured by the probe.
•
Measurable voltage window: The overall range of voltages over which the probe can make
measurements by adjustment of the offset.
•
Maximum non‑destructive input voltage: The maximum voltage that can be applied without risk
of damage to the probe or connected instrument.
To prevent electric shock and damage to your probe, do not attempt to connect voltages outside the
maximum non-destructive input voltage range.

To avoid overloading the probe, note that its maximum input voltage rating decreases as the
frequency of the applied signal increases.
