Typical connections
To obtain the highest bandwidth and best step response from your probe, you must minimize the
inductance of the signal path from the probe to the device under test:
• Use the shortest possible probe tip (ideally the fixed and sprung probe tips supplied)
• Use the shortest, widest possible ground connection (ideally the wide ground blade supplied)
To probe two points with 0.1" (2.54 mm) spacing, use the joggle adaptor. Performance will be
degraded slightly:

k Joggle adaptor with probe tips
l Device under test

Controls and indicators

The A3000 Series probe has a pushbutton (m) and LED indicator (n), shown below:
m Pushbutton: Press to start and stop capture in PicoScope.
n LED indicator: Green when probe is active.

Yellow when probe is inactive.
