MAINTENANCE
Caution: To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken when using any
electrical appliance near water.
Caution: Always isolate the V
before installing or carrying out any maintenance.
1. Check regularly to ensure that the float switch, float switch guard and anti-siphon valve are
clean and free of any dirt or detritus. If using in a marine saltwater tank, ensure that the
float switch, float switch guard and anti-siphon valve are also free of any salt and/or calcium
deposits. Please note: We highly recommend that this is checked at least once a week.
Failure to do so could result in operating problems and water overflowing from your sump
or aquarium.
2. Regularly check to ensure all connections are tightly secured.
3. Test float by physically moving it to ensure switch is operating correctly.
4. Clean the pump regularly to ensure it does not become clogged with debris or detritus.
