Unpacking
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
The hedge trimmer requires some assembly
before use These items ship with the hedge
trimmer:
• Hedge trimmer attachment
• Cutting blade guard
• Original Instruction Manual
After removing the hedge trimmer from the box,
inspect it carefully to ensure no damage has
occurred during shipping and that no parts are
missing If any parts are damaged or missing,
do not use the hedge trimmer Contact Oregon®

obtain replacement parts or contact your local
dealer

Assembly
WARNING: A battery operated tool
with the battery pack inserted can start
accidentally. Remove the battery pack before
assembling or performing maintenance.
INSTALLING AN ATTACHMENT TO
THE POWERHEAD (FIG. A)
WARNING: Read and understand entire
Original Instruction Manual for each optional
attachment used on this powerhead and
follow all warnings and instructions. Failure
to follow all instructions could result in
electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal
injury.
WARNING: This powerhead is designed
to be used only with the Oregon attachment
models that are specified in this Original
Instruction Manual. Use of other attachments
could cause serious personal injuries or
property damage.
This powerhead may be used with only Oregon
Multi-attachments
The attachment connects to the powerhead with a
coupler device
• Stop the motor and remove the battery pack
• Loosen the knob of the coupler on the
powerhead tube and remove the end cap from
the attachment
• Press the button located on the attachment
shaft Align the button with the guide recess on
the powerhead coupler and slide the attachment
shaft into the powerhead Rotate the attachment
shaft until the button locks into position
