1.1 Folding handles

1. Locking knobs- By turning these knobs the handle
bars can be either locked in the operating position or
folded for storage.

1.2 Engine lubrication

The engine oil level must be checked before attempting
to start the engine. Refer to the engine manufacturer's
instructions.
1. Position the mower on a level surface and clean
around the dip stick.
2. Remove the dip stick.
3. Using a clean funnel slowly add oil in accordance
with the engine manufacturer's instructions.
4. Check the oil level by screwing in the dip stick or oil
plug and removing again. When oil level is correct
replace the dip stick.
CAUTION
Avoid premature engine failure by using a clean funnel
and clean away any possible contaminants.

1.3 Fuel

1. Position the mower on a level surface in a well
ventilated area.
2. Clean around the fuel tank cap.
3. Remove the fuel tank cap.
4. Place a clean funnel in the fuel filler.

2.1 Grass catcher

Installing the grass catcher.
1. Raise the rear flap (A) of the mower.
2. Grasp the grass catcher by the top handle and
position the grass catcher against the rear of the
mower.
3. Locate the grass catcher above the grass catcher
support bracket (C). Align the catcher lugs (D) with
the hooks (B) each side and lower the catcher into
place.
4. Lower the rear flap (A) so that the back edge of the
rear flap hooks over the matching lip on the grass
catcher .
Removing the grass catcher
1. Raise the rear flap (A) of the mower to release the
grass catcher.
2. Lift the grass catcher clear of the mower and lower
the rear flap.

2.2 Adjusting the height of cut

1. Grasp the height of cut lever (A) and apply an
outward pressure to release the lever from the rack
(B). Figure 5.
2. Move the lever while holding out to the required
height of cut position and engage the lever in the
rack by releasing the lever.

5. Fill the fuel tank with unleaded petrol, allowing room
in tank for fuel expansion.
6. Replace the fuel tank cap.
7. Clean up any spilt fuel.

1.4 Controls

Operator Presence Control
Handle moved towards the handle bars (I). Engine and
blades are free rotate. Handle released (0) engine and
blades stop rotating. Figure 2.

1.5 Assembling the Grass Catcher.

1. Position one side of the grass catcher on a clean flat
bench.
2. Orient the mesh (A) so it aligns with the "U" channel
(B) (on the inside of the grass catcher side) and slide
it fully into the channel.
3. Position the other grass catcher side over the
assembly. Align the mesh (A) into the "U" channel
(B) and the barbs (C) into the slots (D) on the grass
catcher sides.
4. Press firmly on the grass catcher assembly to lock the
barbs (C) fully into the slots (D).
5. Check that all catcher barbs are clipped into place.

2.3 To start the engine

1. Refer to the engine manufacturer's manual for the start-
ing procedure, remembering to activate the operator
presence control lever before cranking the engine.

2.4 To stop the engine

1. Move the throttle control lever to the stop position

2.5 Emptying the Grass Catcher

Remove the grass catcher (as
per the instructions above).
2. Tilt the grass catcher with the
opening downwards. Refer to
figure 7.
3.
Grip the large channel in the
rear bottom of the grass catcher
with the other hand and shake
the clippings out.
