Respect the charge time indicated in the table. Do not
leave the battery in the charger once the battery is fully
charged.
This apparatus includes an internal battery which can
be recharged by connecting it to the mains electricity
supply via the charger.
WARNING! Before charging a battery that has recently
been in use or exposed to direct sunlight or heat, leave
it to cool. This will enable it to be fully recharged.
WARNING! Do not recharge the battery after every
use. If the apparatus is not used for a long period of
time, the battery should be charged when necessary.
WARNING! The charger must be protected from
moisture.
ADJUSTMENTS AND FUNCTIONS
When you connect the tool for the first time, keep it
away from your face. The accessories may become
damaged during the manipulation and may fly off when
they reach an elevated speed.
Take into account that the work is carried out
thanks to the tool's speed and to the accessory
installed in the clamp.
Do not incline and apply pressure to the tool on the
piece of work; guide the tool over the piece of work
applying minimum pressure with the hand. Let the
accessory do its work.
It is preferable to go over the work several times in-
stead of doing it only once.
Should the tool stop due to excessive pressure on the
piece to be worked on, put the speed selector C in
position "0" and connect it again.
In order to obtain an optimum control in the case of
precision work, hold the tool between the thumb and
index finger as though it were a pencil.
For work like the grinding of surfaces, it is better to use
the traditional hand grinding method.
SPEED SELECTOR
Adjust speed C in such a way that it adapts itself to the
type of work you want to carry out in order to obtain the
best results upon working with different materials.
For selecting the correct speed for each work, use a
piece of trial material. Change the speed until achieving
the optimum speed for the work to be carried out.
The tool is equipped with a variable speed selector
that goes from no.2 (minimum speed) to no. 10
(maximum speed).
In order to disconnect the tool, set the speed selector C
to no. "0".
Some advice about speed:
1. For plastics and other materials that melt at low
temperatures, it is advisable to use low speed.
2. For polishing, burnishing and cleaning with a metal
brush, medium speed is recommended.
3. For cutting wood, high speed is recommended.
4. Using a tungsten carbide accessory, maximum
speed is recommended, but if you use a steel or an
iron milling head, medium speed is recommended.
Increasing the pressure for cutting is not the best
solution; you should probably use a different mill-
ing head and perhaps adjust the speed for solving
the problem.

MOUNTING GRINDING DISCS AND WHEELS
WARNING! For safety reasons, the machine should
always be unplugged before changing the disc or wheel.
WARNING! Never press the blocking button B when
the machine is running. The shaft must have stopped
completely before the blocking button B is pressed.
To fit the disc, proceed as follows:
1. Block the spindle (shaft), by pressing the blocking
button B.
2. With a spanner, loosen locking screw A and intro-
duce the grinding wheel with shaft into clamp D and
tighten locking screw A with the spanner.
3. Once the disc is fitted, check that the blocking but-
ton has returned to its original position due to
movement of the incorporated spring.
It is advisable to insert the shank as far as possible
inside the clamp in order to avoid any bending or
possible vibrating of the grinding wheel.
The grinding wheel is dismounted by carrying out this
procedure in reverse order.
CAUTION! The clip securing nut must not be tightened
unless a grinding wheel has been inserted into the clip.
The discs and wheels must be protected from bangs
and knocks.
