Replacing/Inserting the Dust Bag (see figure A)
GAS 50 M
– Unlock the latches 13 and remove the vacuum lid 3.
M
– Pull off the full dust bag 17 from the connection flange to-
ward the rear. Close the opening of the dust bag by folding

down the lid. Remove the closed dust bag from the vacuum
/I
cleaner.
IP 24
– Slide the new dust bag 17 over the connection flange of the
vacuum cleaner. Make sure that the full length of the dust
bag 17 faces against the inner wall of the container 11. Re-
attach the vacuum lid 3.
– Lock the latches 13.
For dry vacuuming operation, a dust bag 17 should be insert-
ed. When operating with a dust bag 17, the folded filter 18

clogs slower, the vacuuming performance is kept up longer
and the disposal of dust becomes easier.
When vacuuming materials with or without an exposition val-

ue of ≥ 1 mg/m
to vacuum directly into the container.
When the warning light 4 flashes during IS operation and/or
the alarm sounds during ENT operation, the folded filters 18
must be cleaned. For this, set the mode selector switch 6 to
the electromagnetic filter cleaning symbol. The folded fil-
ters are cleaned for approx. 10 seconds.
If the warning light 4 should continue to flash and/or the alarm
should continue to sound, the dust bag 17 must be ex-
changed.
When the warning light 4 still continues to flash and/or the
alarm continues to sound, the vacuum cleaner must be
checked as described under "Malfunctions".
 The vacuum cleaner contains materials that are haz-
ardous to one's health. Have the emptying and mainte-
nance, incl. the disposal of dust-collection containers,
carried out only by specialists. Appropriate protective
equipment is required. Do not operate the vacuum
cleaner without the complete filter system. Otherwise
there is danger to your own health.
Mounting the Vacuum Hose (see figure A)
Mount the vacuum hose 10 onto the hose connection piece 9
and turn it in clockwise direction to the stop.
Insert the extension tubes firmly into each other.
Note: Bosch recommends using static-discharging hoses
with a hose Ø of 19 or 35 mm.
Operation

Starting Operation

 Observe correct mains voltage! The voltage of the pow-

 Please inform yourself about the valid regulations/
laws for your country concerning the handling of mate-
rials that are hazardous to one's health.
When not using the vacuum cleaner, switch it off in order to
save energy.
