the appliance is not cold
enough
The temperature within
the appliance is too cold
Moisture forms on the
inside or outside walls of
the fridge
Smell/odour
Solution
- Check that there is not a power cut. Check that the
plug is not faulty.
- Fuse has blown / circuit breaker has tripped.
Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
- Check that the voltage is correct for the appliance.
- Large amount of hot food recently added. Allow
several hours to return to normal temperature.
- The controls are not adjusted correctly for the
surrounding conditions.
- Check that the appliance is not exposed to direct
sunlight or too close to a heat source.
- Check that the ambient temperature is within the
operating limits of the appliance.
- Do the appliance doors open frequently? After
the door is opened, the humidity in the room air
enters the appliance, especially if the humidity
levels in the room are very high. The more the door
is opened in humid conditions, the greater the
chances of moisture accumulating.
- The door is not closed.
- The rubber gasket is not well sealed.
- The refrigerator does not have enough space to
ventilate from the back and sides.
- Increase the temperature by adjusting the
thermostat to a lower setting. The highest power
should only be used as a rapid cooling mode and
should only be set two hours before a large amount
of food is to be stored.
- Hot and humid climates increase the formation of
frost indoors. It is normal.
- Check that the food and drinks you have in the
fridge are not expired and that they are properly
packaged.
- Check that nothing has been spilled. Any spills that
have been left unattended and not cleaned up
can cause unwanted odors.
