Batteries

Possible danger to life due to electric shock, fire, ignition, explosion, leaking or bursting of the batteries!
To avoid injuries or property damage, e.g. due to electric shock, fire, ignition, explosion, leaking or
bursting:
• Use only the batteries and charging units provided in the delivery for the headlight system purchased.
• Charge and use batteries only in ambient temperatures from 0°C to +30°C (+32°F to +86°F).
• Use the batteries only at a relative humidity of 45 - 85%.
• Store batteries only at ambient temperatures from 0°C to +25°C (+32°F to +77°F).
• Do not open the batteries, throw them into fire, insert them inverted, use them together with used
batteries or batteries of another type, short-circuit them, disassemble them, heat them to over 60°C
(140°F) or dispose of them into waste incineration plants.
• If the batteries swell, crack or get hot, do not charge or use them. They must be disposed of properly
and be replaced by new ones. The battery used in this device may present a fire or chemical burn
hazard if mistreated.
• Do not touch damaged/leaking batteries. Dispose of the batteries immediately and properly, observing
the handling and safety measures for lithium-polymer batteries.
Pay attention to the 5 LED indicators on the front of the left battery compartment:
5
Fully charged
4
3
Safe Zone
2
1
Almost empty
• Each of the 5 LEDs indicates a battery charging level of approx. 20%. Note that it can take a few seconds
until the battery charging level is indicated.
• Replace the batteries as soon as only one LED is lit. As soon as all 5 LEDs are dark, only a short period
remains until the batteries are fully depleted and the headlight is shut off.
• To ensure optimum performance of the headlight, the batteries should be replaced every 12 months.
• If a battery can be inserted or removed only with difficulty, it has expanded and must be put out of
operation immediately.
• Do not charge the batteries in the operation field.
