REEF-Fill instructions v1-2015_Layout 1 11/12/2015 15:19 Page 5
In most aquarium systems the loss of water from the aquarium is mainly due to factors such as
evaporation. If evaporated water is not regularly replaced, problems can occur and the water
quality of the aquarium may be compromised. The REEF-Fill System provides a simple solution
to automatically top up any water lost from the aquarium or sump through evaporation and to
create an advanced professional set-up. An alarm will sound and the pump will be stopped
when there is either too much or too little water, helping to protect your system from
flooding.
PARTS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION AND OPERATION
1. Residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA.
ASSEMBLY
The REEF-Fill System is supplied almost fully assembled. After unpacking and before installation you must:-
1. Ensure that the float switch guard (2) is correctly secured on the mounting bracket (3/4), the
float switch (1) is pointing upwards, and the IR sensor (12) is pointing downwards (see photo 1).
2. Connect all components to the Smart Monitoring System unit (11) (see photo 2).
3. Attach and secure one end of the flexible top up hosing (9) to the pump outlet (7) (see
photo 3).
4. Connect the power supply unit (PSU) (10) (see photo 4).
