Note:
If the active connection is not used by any
application within approx. 2 minutes, it is
closed down automatically. When the applica-
tion using this connection is closed down, the
connection is closed down automatically as
well.
Checking the Connection
Note:
The function for displaying connection status
is only available when at least one connection
is active. Always view the status of only one
connection at a time. Be sure to close the
active status window before opening a status
window for another connection.
§ Select the connection shortcut and then right-
click on it to open the popup menu for the
shortcut.
§ Select the "Status" menu item.
> The "Bluetooth Connection Status" window
opens.
> The "Connection" field shows the connection
status, device name and length of time the
connection has been active. "Status" indicates
whether a connection is active. "Device Name"
gives the name of the remote device connect-
ed. "Duration" shows the amount of time
elapsed since the connection was established.
The "Activity" field shows the number of bytes
sent and received.
The "Signal Strength" field shows the signal
strength of the connection on a scale from
"Too weak" to "Too strong." You can refer to
this scale when setting up your remote devices
to make sure they are within range.
