REMEMBER! When using the device, protect children
and other bystanders.
2.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which can
significantly impair the ability to operate the device.
b)
When working with the device, use common sense
and stay alert. Temporary loss of concentration whilst
using the device may lead to serious injuries.
c)
Use personal protection equipment as required
for working with the device, specified in section 1
(Legend). The use of correct, approved personal
protection equipment reduces the risk of suffering
an injury.
d)
To prevent the device from accidentally switching on,
make sure the switch is on the OFF position before
connecting to a power source.
e)
Do not overestimate your abilities. When using the
device keep your balance and remain stable at all
times. This will ensure better control over the device
in unexpected situations.
f)
Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair, clothes and gloves away from the moving parts.
Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair may get caught
in the moving parts.
g)
Remove all adjusting tools or spanners before
turning the device on. A tool or spanner left in the
revolving part of the device may cause injury.
2.4 SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
Do not overload the device. Use appropriate tools
for the given task. A correctly selected device will
perform the task for which it was designed better
and in a safer manner.
b)
Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
off). Devices which cannot be switched on and off
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and have to be repaired.
c)
When not in use, store in a safe place, away from
children and people not familiar with the device, who
have not read the user manual. The device may pose
a hazard in the hands of inexperienced users.
d)
Maintain the device in a good technical state. Before
each use check for general damage and especially
check for cracked parts or elements and for any other
conditions which may impact the safe operation of
the device. If damage is discovered, hand over the
device for repair before use.
e)
Keep the device out of the reach of children.
f)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
g)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
h)
When transporting and handling the device between
the warehouse and the destination, take into account
the occupational health and safety principles for
manual transport operations which apply in the
country where the device will be used.
i)
Avoid situations where the device halts during
use due to excessive loading. This may result in
overheating of the drive elements and device
damage.
8
j)
Do not touch articulated parts or accessories, unless
the device has been disconnected from a power
source.
k)
The specified vibrations emission was measured
using standard measurement methods. Vibrations
emissions may change if the device is used in
different surroundings.
l)
When working with the machine, it is necessary to pay
special attention to the recoil phenomenon, which
is a sudden reaction of the machine to blockade of
the rotating working tip. The consequence of the
blockade of the rotating tool is jerk of the machine
in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation
of the working tip. The recoil is the consequence of
improper use of the machine.
m)
Regularly clean the ventilation slots of the machine.
n)
The maximum rotational speed given on the working
tip of the device may not be lower than the maximum
rotational speed of the device.
o)
If suction is to be connected to the device, check
all connections and make sure they are tight. Using
a dedusting system may reduce the risks associated
with dust.
p)
Avoid a random activation of the device. Do not
move the machine, which is connected to a power
supply, when having a finger on a switch. Make sure
that a switch-off is in „turned off" position when
connecting a cable to the power supply.
q)
If working with the device outdoors, make sure to
use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use.
Using an extension cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.
r)
Keep the device and the accessories in good
condition.
s)
Keep the handles dry, clean and free from oil and
grease
t)
PLEASE NOTE: Exposing the user to vibrations may
cause loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and
weaker grip. Prolonged exposure may lead to chronic
disease. Try to limit exposure time to vibrations and
use anti-vibration gloves.
u)
Do not use the device below normal comfortable
working temperature because at lower temperatures
vibrations may have a greater undesirable effect on
the user's body.
v)
A poorly maintained, improperly assembled or
incorrectly used tool may generate cause increased
noise and vibration.
w)
Use the cable only for its designated use. Never use it
to carry the device or to pull the plug out of a socket.
Keep the cable away from heat sources, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
x)
Hold the device touching only the insulated handle
surfaces. It is possible you may come across hidden
wiring or hit your own power cord while working.
Contact with the power cord may cause electric
shock.
y)
Use accessories matching the device parameters and
the type of work done. Properly selected accessories
will do a better and safer job.
z)
Keep the accessories in good condition, i.e. they
must be sharp, unused and free of dirt and/or
deformations. In the event of damage, replace the
accessory with a new one with matching parameters.
Rev. 05.08.2019
aa)
When sanding painted surfaces, comply with
applicable regulations and observe the health and
safety rules.
bb)
If possible, use dust absorbing devices (e.g. vacuum
cleaner) to collect dust.
cc)
Dispose of dust and other waste in an environmentally
friendly manner.
dd)
Take particular care when sanding paint (especially
lead-based):
Children and pregnant women must not enter
the area where paint is sanded.
Do not eat, drink or smoke in the area where
paint is sanded.
ee)
PLEASE NOTE: When the device is on, it generates
electromagnetic
field.
This
may,
in
certain
circumstances, affect the functioning of surgical
implants. It is recommended that people with
surgical implants consult a physician and/or
manufacturer of the surgical implant. to reduce the
risk of serious or fatal injury.
