BEFORE USING YOUR ELECTRIC OVEN
FOR THE FIRST TIME, BE SURE TO:
1. Read all instructions included in this manual.
2. Make sure oven is unplugged and Timer Knob is in the "off" position.
3. Remove all accessories. Wash in hot sudsy water or in dishwasher.
4. Thoroughly dry all accessories and re-assemble in oven. Plug oven into outlet and you
are ready to use your new Electric Oven with Grill Rack and Food Tray.
5. There may be a slight smell or smoke for the first use. This is normal due to the protec-
tive substance on heating elements which prevents corrosion effects during shipment from
factory. So it is recommended to operate oven dry for 10-15 minutes before first use.
Moreover, make sure area is well ventilated.
USING YOUR ELECTRIC OVEN
Please familiarize yourself with the following oven functions and accessories prior to first
use:
• Cooking Function/Temperature Knob: Choose desired temperature from LOW--2000F--
4650F or there are 2 cooking modes (Broiling
• Timer/Stay On Knob: Turn control to the left (counter-clockwise) and the oven will STAY
ON until manually shut off. To activate timer, turn to right (clockwise) for other use. A bell
will sound at end of programmed time.
• Power Indicator: It is illuminated whenever oven is turned on.
• Grill Rack: Automatically slide-off / on when open / close the Glass Door. For toasting,
baking, and general cooking in casserole dishes and standard pans. Note: The grill rack
should slide in and out when opening or closing the door. If not, make sure the grill rack is
connected to the hooks on the door.
• Food Tray: For use in baking, broiling and roasting. Always use the food tray when cook-
ing meats, poultry, fish or any foods that emit juices.
A word of advice: Experience is the key to using this appliance correctly. After a few uses,
you should be able to tell which settings work best for your recipes and cooking prefer-
ences.
BAKING/HEATING/ROASTING
Operation
• Choose temperature using the Cooking Function/Temperature Knob. Pre-heat oven for 3-
4 minutes by turning Timer Knob clockwise.
• Place food onto wire rack or on the cooking tray and then into the oven. Note: Please use
oven gloves when inserting food into a hot oven. Set cooking time by turning Timer Knob
clockwise.
Note: During this operation, the elements will cycle on and off to maintain proper oven tem-
perature. This is normal.
