6. MAINTENANCE
Periodic cleaning of the compartment and condenser
Before starting the cleaning, switch off the appliance and unplug it from the socket. Clean the
internal compartment at least once a week. Periodically clean the condenser located in the technical
compartment. Before starting the cleaning, close and protect the cabinet, then use a brush and a
vacuum cleaner to remove the dust deposited on the front surface of the condenser.
Inactivity of the unit
During periods of inactivity, unplug the unit from the wall socket, clean thoroughly as you would
for periodic cleaning and allow air to circulate in the cabinet by covering the cabinet with a cloth
and leaving the door slightly open.
7. BEHAVIOR IN CASE OF FAILURE
If the appliance does not work, check that
-
the plug is correctly inserted in the socket;
-
the power cord is not damaged.
If the set temperature is not reached, check that
-
the thermostat is set from 1 to 6 (if present) or the control unit is set to the correct
temperature (if present);
-
the condenser is not clogged by dust;
-
the appliance is not located near heat sources or its condensing unit is poorly ventilated;
-
stored foodstuffs or other objects do not prevent the cabinet from closing properly;
-
the appliance is not working in abnormal conditions (insertion of hot, excess and/or badly
arranged foodstuffs).
If the appliance is leaking water, check that
-
the water elimination device is not damaged,
-
the drain has been well channelled and is not obstructed;
-
the appliance has been leveled.
If the appliance is noisy, check that
-
there are no loose screws or bolts;
-
the unit is level and that the feet and/or wheels are firmly on the floor.
If after all these checks the malfunction persists, it is advisable to contact technical assistance,
indicating the model code and serial number.
