Design of the vacuum system
The collection flask (5) catches particles and droplets at the
inlet of the pump, preventing them from entering the pump
head.The collection flask is coated (implosion protection) and
attached to the inlet separator (9) with a flask clamp (3).
The high-performance condenser (2) at the pump outlet recov-
ers solvents back from the transferred gas instead of letting
them escape into the environment or into the fume hood. For
temperature insulation and explosion protection, the high-per-
formance condenser is enclosed in a housing.
The solvents separated in the high-performance condenser
are collected in the collection flask (4), which is coated (explo-
sion protection). A flask clamp (3) fixes the collection flask to
the condenser flange. A circulating cooler or running cold wa-
ter (or other cooling medium) cools the high-performance con-
denser to condensation temperature.
