Please note that propelled parts can bounce off obstacles and hit the operator.
Use personal protective equipment when operating the appliance. Ensure you wear work clothing with long trouser legs and long
sleeves, together with protective gloves. Wear eye protection and a face mask. Use hearing protection. Wear substantial footwear
with full uppers and non-skid safety soles.
This is a hand-held appliance. Hold the appliance by the handle. The handle must be always directed upwards. If you need to hold the
appliance with both hands, use the other hand to grip the bottom of the casing. Make sure that the way you hold the appliance does not
obstruct the air inlet or outlet. The air inlet must not be too close to the ground to prevent debris from being sucked into the appliance.
Keep proper standing position during work so that you can always maintain your balance. When working on a slope, move across
the slope. Walk, never run.
Always use the appliance when it is fully assembled. Never use the product without the nozzle supplied. Always use the supplied
bag when using the appliance in a vacuum mode.
Do not touch dangerous moving parts until the appliance has been disconnected from the power source by unplugging the power
cord, and the dangerous moving parts have come to a complete standstill.
Before connecting, make sure that the supply system parameters match those indicated on the appliance nameplate.
Always connect the appliance to the power supply after making sure that the switch is in the OFF position.
When disconnecting the appliance from the power supply, always pull by the plug, never by the cable.
When using extension cords, ensure that the insulation is made of rubber not weaker than class H05 RN-F, or PVC not weaker than
H05 VV-F. The wire cross-section of the extension cords must not be smaller than the cross-section of the power cord supplied with
the appliance. The wire cross-section of the power cord is marked on the insulation of the power cord. When using extension cables
longer than 10 m, the wire cross-section must not be smaller than 2.5 mm2. Do not use extension cables which are longer than 50 m.
If retractable extension cables are used, they must be completely unwound before connection. Use extension cables suitable for
outdoor use if the appliance is to be used outdoors.
Note! The connection system must be fi tted with a residual current protection device (RCD) with a tripping current of 30 mA or less.
Check the condition of the power cords and extension cables, if any, before connecting the appliance to the power source. Do not
connect the appliance to a power source if you fi nd any damage, cuts, abrasions, melted insulation or permanent deformation. Re-
place any damaged cables with new ones which are free of damage. If the power cord supplied with the appliance is damaged, have
it replaced by an authorised service centre of the manufacturer. It is not allowed to use the appliance with a damaged power cord.
During operation, route the power cord and the extension cord so that they do not come into contact with sharp or hot objects. Also,
avoid contact with water or any other liquid, moisture, oil, grease, lubricants, acids or solvents, or other agents which may damage
the insulation of the cable. Prevent the contact of the power cord and the extension cable with any moving parts. Failure to adhere
to the above guidelines may result in the contact with the live parts, which may result in electric shock and serious injury or death.
If the power cord or the extension cable gets entangled or damaged during operation, immediately stop the appliance using the
switch, and unplug the power cord or the extension cable from the wall outlet. Do not touch the damaged item, as this may lead
to electrical shock and result in serious injury or death.
Check the condition of the appliance each time before you start the appliance, or after it dropped or hit an object. If you notice any
damage as a cracked casing, you must not use the appliance until the damage has been remedied.
If, during operation, a malfunction or accident occurs, fi rst, switch off the appliance and disconnect the power cord from the
electrical outlet, and then, assist the injured persons. Rectify the cause of the malfunction or accident. Check the condition of the
appliance for damage before resuming operation.
Always disconnect the appliance from power by unplugging the power cord plug from the power outlet when you put the appliance
to rest, or want to remove jammed debris, inspect, clean or perform any work on the appliance, or after hitting an object to check
the appliance for damage, or to check the appliance immediately if it starts to vibrate incorrectly.
If any excessive vibrations of the appliance occurs after you start it or during operation, this means that it is not working correctly.
If so, switch the appliance off immediately, unplug the power cord and perform a check. Check the nozzle for any obstructions in
the air inlet and outlet. Once the obstruction has been removed, reassemble the appliance, connect it to the power source and
restart it. If the excessive vibration persists, switch off the appliance immediately, disconnect it from the power supply and send it
to an authorised service centre.
Although precautions have been taken during the engineering and design of the appliance, and considering that the guidelines in
this Manual have been followed, there is still a residual risk in terms of exposure to vibration and noise. Therefore, use personal
protective equipment, do not work too long and take regular breaks.
