The support technique is compatible with most common tube masts with a maximum diameter of 25 mm (fig. 4).
This system of cabling through the threaded support is a proven method of protecting the antenna connection against weather conditions and
mechanical damage.
Installation diagram
Follow the diagram of the figure 5.
Ensure the appropriate powering: 100 to 240 V~ for the mains plug or 11 to 20 V
for the car lighter adapter.
Antenna connections
Pull one of the cable ends through the base tube as shown in the figure 6 a.
At the cable end use the threaded "F" connector (fig. 6 b).
Once the threaded "F" connector is installed connect it to the antenna (fig. 6 c).
Install the antenna to the base support making sure that both the cable and the connector is protected inside (fig. 7 a).
Turn the antenna to point it in the desired direction and fixe it tightening both screws located at the base using a spanner No. 8 (fig. 7 c).
P.S.U. connections
For connecting the antenna to the power supply unit use the supplied IEC male connector according to the instructions of the figure 8.
Ensure that there is no shortcircuit between the inner conductor and any strand of the coaxial cable braid, by suitable use of electrical test
equipment.
The arrangement of the connectors in the PSU is as shown in the figure 8.
Please note: - When the LED is ON this indicates that there is DC voltage at the antenna connector for powering the antenna amplifier.
- The power supply unit supports permanent short circuit in the cable towards the antenna during periods of limited time. This
situation of prolonged short circuit can cause irreversible damages.
Operation
The amplification system consist of three amplifiers, one for each band, incorporating rejection filters for TV outband signals. The amplification can be
switched off when not required (fig. 9).
