General Operation
NOTE:
Some buttons you can find as well on the device as on
the remote control.
Identical buttons effect the same function.
Switch device on/off
• To turn the device on, set the main switch POWER on
the back of the device to "ON".
• Press the ST.BY button (13 on RC) to toggle the device
between standby and operating mode. After you have
switched the unit to standby, STBY is displayed on the
display for approximately one minute.
• To turn the device off, set the main switch POWER on
the back of the device to "OFF".
NOTE:
• You can also use the
switch the unit off and on. Therefore hold down
for a short time.
• When the unit is switched off, the most recent set-
tings (source, volume) are deleted in the memory.
Volume
By pressing the
VOL+/ VOL- (VOL+/VOL-) buttons
(7/4 on RC) you can adjust the desired volume.
NOTE:
• In radio and IPOD mode, press and hold the
VOL+/ VOL- buttons (7) to set the desired
volume.
• The set volume is stored separately for each mode.
Infrared Remote Control
For wireless control within a distance of 5 m. If the
distance decreases you should change the batteries. For
proper operation mind a clear view between the remote
control and the sensor on the device.
Sound Settings (on RC)
• Press the TREBLE+/TREBLE- buttons (10) to set the
treble value.
• Press the BASS+/BASS- buttons (11) to set the bass
value.
NOTE: During iPod/iPhone Music Playback
• For optimum sound, change the EQ setting on your
iPod/iPhone as required.
• These settings are an active level control of treble
and bass which affects the total output power. In
the most unfavourable case, the sound output could
be very low.

MUTE (1 on RC)
For immediate muting of the volume. The indication
MUTE appears on the display. Press MUTE again to cancel
the function.
Radio Tuning
• Press the ST.BY button (13 on RC) to switch the device
on.
Automatic Scanning
• Select radio mode (FM) by pressing the MODE button
(4/3).
• When the SCAN button (12 on RC) is pressed, the unit
automatically scans for existing radio stations. These
are stored in the order of the increasing frequency.
• If the reception is too weak and there is interfer-
ence on the channel, try to improve the reception by
changing the position of the aerial and/or coil/uncoil
it.
NOTE:
• You can also start scanning by pressing and holding
the MODE button (4 on the unit) for a short time.
• Important: Previous individually set radio stations
are overwritten.
Individual Change
1. Use the
VOL+/ VOL- buttons (7/7) to select the
frequency to be changed.
2. Use the / buttons (7) to tune in on the desired
station.
3. Press the OK button (5 on RC) within 3 seconds to
store the station. The previous frequency is overwrit-
ten.
Recall Saved Radio Stations
Press the
VOL+/ VOL- buttons (7/7) to access the sta-
tion presets.
Music Playback from iPod/iPhone
(iPod/iPhone not supplied)
1. If an adapter has been supplied with your iPod, put it
onto the dock connector. You can only ensure that the
iPod fits correctly into the iPod port if the adapter is
plugged in.
2. Insert your iPod/iPhone into the dock.
CAUTION:
Make sure that your iPod/iPhone is plugged upright
into the port. Do not bend or tilt the iPod/iPhone
whilst it is plugged into the port. This may cause
damage to the dock or the iPod/iPhone.
