The communication distance between the detector and the gateway is ≥ 50m in a free
field, the free field implies an open space without any physical obstacle. When installed
in buildings, the range is reduced by the structure: wall, partitions, doors, furniture, etc. If
the connection does not work correctly, it is advisable to adjust the position between the
equipment and bring closer the gateway to the detector.
a. Remove the detector base by turning it in the opening direction indicated on the
product.
b. In the mobile application: select «add an object» then in the security section select
«smoke detector».
c. Follow the procedure described in the application: Scan the QR code located on the
back of the detector body, or enter the identifier listed under this QR code then validate.
d. Follow the procedure described in the application: Lock the detector on its base, by
turning in the closing direction indicated on the product to put the detector into operation.
It will send a signal to the gateway:
i. If the gateway receives the signal from the smoke detector: the connection is established.
ii. If the gateway receives the signal from the smoke detector but the smoke detector was
already connected to another device: the application asks the user to reset the product
connection and start the procedure again.
iii. If the connection fails, it is quite possible that the position between the devices should
be adjusted and the gateway closer to the detector. The application indicates an error
and asks the user to reset the product connection and start the procedure again.
Resetting / removing the connection of a detector to another
device
To remove the detector's connection to another device, press and hold the «LEARN»
button on the detector for more than 5 seconds, until the indicator next to it flashes green.
The connection is deleted.
Test / Functional check / Hush mode
• Test the smoke detector once a month by pressing and holding the «TEST» button on
the detector for a few seconds until its alarm sounds.
• Test the detector after returning from vacation or after a long period of absence.
• In the event of a defective product, replace it immediately.
• Never try to test the detector with an open flame, you may damage the device.
CAUTION! The alarm can also be triggered by cooking vapors or a cloud of dust, in
these cases only, ventilate the room and the buzzer will stop. Never try to disconnect the
detector in order to stop annoying triggers. If the triggers persist, clean the detector.
Do not stand near the detector when the alarm is sounding, prolonged and frequent
exposure may damage your hearing.
The red indicator light flashes approximately every 344 seconds to indicate that the
detector is functioning properly. If the alarm is triggered, the red indicator light will flash
approximately once per second.
