4. DESCALING THE MACHINE
It is normal for limescale to build-up
when the machine is used. The speed of
build-up depends on the frequency of
use of the appliance and the hardness
of the water.
To prevent the formation of limescale,
which also deposits in the internal
circuits, we recommend that you use
and periodically replace a resin water
filter to soften the water. When placed
in the tank, the filter removes calcium
and magnesium salts from the water
that would otherwise precipitate out
and form limescale deposits, which will
affect the taste of your coffee.
Remember that the filter loses its
effectiveness after a certain number of
litres treated.
To avoid possible damage to machine
components, ONLY INSERT NATURAL
DESCALERS INTO THE WATER TANK.
