INSTRUCTIONS
The equipment is designed for a maximum service pressure of 6.2
bar (90 psi). The compressed air must be clean.
This tool is fitted with vanes which can operate without lubricated
air, However, a small quantity of oil will allow the tool to operate at
full output and increase its service life.
With totaly oil-free dry air, service life of vanes may be reduced.
It is recommended that a filter be installed. For maximum efficiency
and performance, the inner diameter of the hose must be 10 mm.
Compressed air connection (see drawing 1).
The use of parts other than those originally provided by the
manufacturer may result in a drop in performance or in increased
maintenance, and may completely cancel the manufacturer's liability.
In order to ensure user's liability and safety, any modifications
performed on the equipment or accessory parts must first meet the
manufacturer's approval. All national safety regulations pertaining
to installation, use and maintenance, must consistently be followed.
To obtain maximum efficiency from the pneumatic tool, to preserve
its properties and avoid repeated repairs, a regular program of
maintenance and repair is recommended,
intervals between inspections depending on the amount of exertion
on the machine.
Before conducting any repair or maintenance on the equipment,
the supply of compressed air must be disconnected or shut
off. Check the free speed of the tool at regular intervals and after
each use. Remove the grinding wheel or the accessory to check the
speed. The maximum authorized speed indicated on the equipment
must not be exceeded. Check the mechanical parts of the tool.
Disassemble it, and carefully clean and inspect the parts. Check
the condition of the bearings, the wear on the vanes and their
surface condition.
- The machine is wholly stopped only several seconds after the on
- off system has been released.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISMANTLING AND REASSEMBLY
Disconnect the machine from the compressed air supply, remove
the accessories and support handle.
Dismantling the turbine:
Unscrew the gear rim (32) or (38) from the turbine housing (15).
Remove the washers (31-30), then remove the turbine from its
housing (15) and pull out the spacer (see drawing 2). Unscrew the
speed governor (17), observing the LEFT-HAND THREADING
(drawing 3). Dismount the turbine (drawing 4).
Refitting the turbine: Proceed in the reverse order of disassembly,
MAKING SURE
THE VANES ARE MOUNTED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. Place
a drop of "Loctite 243" adhesive on the thread of the governor (17)
before tightening it to a torque of 2 N.m.
