4.
Place a locking grid clip (18) at the outermost corner of the shelf. With your free hand, insert the
rolled edge with the groove facing upwards. (Fig. W)
5.
With one hand, apply pressure to the back of the clip (18). With your free hand, insert a flat-head
screwdriver (not included) into the small slot in the clip (18) to spread the tine up and over the
wire that is underneath.
6.
Pull back on the screwdriver. The grooved channel in the clip (18) should now match up with the
wire grid (9), which will help secure it to the shelf beam.
7.
Repeat Steps 4-6 on the remaining three corners of the wire grid (9) and then again for the
remaining shelf.
8.
There are locking pin holes at both ends of every crossbeam (4). This is where the locking pins
(10) are to be installed. If the pin (10) does not easily slip into place, then moderately tap the end
of the crossbeam (4) to fully seat the locking tabs. (Fig. X)

PEGBOARD AND TOOL HANGERS (2 PARTS)

PART 1: BACK PEGBOARD PANEL INSTALLATION (FIG. Y-BB)
NOTICE
Having a helper will simplify the assembly of the pegboard (24) while lining up the mounting tabs.
Refer to Fig. BB if you are assembling the horizontal Workbench. The two pegboard mounting
beams will be used to elevate the pegboard (24) above the shelf to effectively make use of the
metal pegboard (24). Fig. BB shows the order for installing the parts to create this configuration of
the Workbench.
1.
The pegboard (24) can be mounted at any desired location on the back of the Workbench with
the use of the two sets of left (29) and right (28) rear mounting brackets. Ensure that the hanging
tab arrows are pointing upwards on the rear mounting brackets (28, 29). (Fig. Y)
2.
It is recommended that the rear pegboard mounting brackets (28, 29) be installed with the first
set of left (29) and right (28) rear mounting brackets placed right above the stacking plates (17) on
the rear of the Workbench. Slide down the brackets to fully seat them into the slots of the
upright frame. (Fig. Y)
3.
Place the second set of rear mounting brackets (28, 29) above the already mounted set of rear
mounting brackets (28, 29) with a single slot in-between. Slide them down to seat them. (Fig. Y)
4.
Install a single locking pin (10) into each of the rear mounting brackets (28, 29). This will ensure
that the brackets do not shift around and fall while the pegboard (24) is being mounted. (Fig. Y)
5.
The pegboard (24) is mounted in between the rear mounting brackets (28, 29) by sliding the
pegboard (24) down from the top of the rear mounting from the backside of the Workbench.
Ensure that all of the tabs on the rear mounting brackets (28, 29) are inside the pegboard (24)
and are fully seated. A rubber mallet or small dead blow (not included) can be used to lightly tap
the top left and right corners of the pegboard (24) to seat it properly. (Fig. Z)
6.
Each rear mounting bracket (28, 29) will have two small pin holes where the pegboard (24)
is mounted. Use two small locking pins (30) for each rear mounting bracket. If the pins do
not easily slip in, use the mallet or dead blow technique stated in step 5 to seat the
pegboard (24) fully. (Fig AA)
