• Disconnect the trimmer from the mains supply when you have finished work, before cleaning or if
you have been interrupted.
• This trimmer has been designed to cut soft, new growth and should not be used on branches, hard
wood or other forms of cutting.
• Do not attempt to free a jammed blade before first switching off the machine and disconnecting it
from the mains supply
• If you are interrupted when operating the trimmer, complete the process and switch off before
looking up.
• Never allow untrained users or children to use the trimmer.
• If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary, this has to be done by the manufacturer of his
agent in the order to avoid a safety hazard.
• Advice to check the hedge for foreign objects, e.g. wire fences.
• Recommendation for the use of a residual current device with a tripping current of 30 mA or less
• Instruction to hold the hedge trimmer properly, e.g. with both hands if two handles are provided.
Before use
Power connection
The machine can only be connected to a single-phase a. c. current connection. The machine is
protectively insulated in accordance with classification II of VDE 0740 and can therefore be
connected to sockets without earth connections. Before using the machine ensure that the mains
current agrees with the operating voltage data on the machine's identification label.
Power Circuit Breaker :
Machines which will be used in different outside locations must be connected to a Power
Circuit Breaker.
Securing the extension lead
Only use extension leads suitable for outside use. The cross section of the wire (max. length of
extension cord: 75m must be at least 1.5 mm
inserting the extension lead into the cable holder of the housing.
Extension leads longer than 30 m will reduce the performance of the machine.
Mounting the hand guard
Push the supplied hand guard (2) over the blades and fix securely with each screws on both sides of
the housing as showed in drawings.
