Connecting the regulator (reduction valve)
• Always check the gasket on the gas cylinder's valve before assembling the regulator.
• Screw the regulator and the gas cylinder together by hand with the help of the left threaded nut on the regulator. PLEASE NOTE! Do not use any
tools!
• Attach the hose clamp and then press and twist the hose into place on the regulator's connection nipple. Pull the hose clamp firmly tight.
• Check that all connections are tight by brushing them with soapy water. If bubbles form then there is a leak, in which case you should turn off
the gas at the cylinder and correct the leak. Repeat the process and check the connections with soapy water again until you are satisfied that all
connections are tight.
Igniting the grill
Do not use the gas grill without first having checked that all gas-conveying parts are tight and whole. Below are the instructions for starting the grill.
1. Always open the lid during ignition.
2. Open the valve on the gas cylinder.
3. Press the knob in and turn it a ¼ rotation at the same time to ignite the burner.
4. Use your other hand to press the start button, which is located on the underside of the front of the grill. (There is a separate start button for
each pair of burners)
5. Keep the knob depressed for a few seconds, then adjust the heat by using the knob until the desired temperature is achieved.
6. Repeat the above procedure with the controls for each burner to ignite more burners.
7. Turn off the tap on the gas cylinder when you want to turn off the burners. Wait until the flames have gone out and then turn the knob for each
burner to the off position.
Warning!
Do not use the grill with the lid closed at a temperature in excess of 250°C. This could cause serious damage and discolouration to the grill.
Warning!
Use appropriate equipment when handling hot food or hot parts of the grill.
Warning!
NEVER use water to extinguish a fire or gas flames in the grill, since this could cause serious damage to the grill and could also lead to
personal injury.
Warning!
Never use the grill in enclosed or roofed areas.
Warning!
Never leave the grill unsupervised when in use, and keep children and pets at a safe distance from the hot parts of the grill.
Regular checks and maintenance
Gas cylinder
• Ask your local dealer/retailer to check the gas cylinder each time you change it or fill it with gas.
Hose and regulator
• Rubber has a limited useful life and becomes worn over time. Bend the hose and replace it immediately if you discover any cracks in the rubber!
• Check the rubber gasket on the connection that is screwed into the gas cylinder to ensure that it is not cracked or dried out.
Burners
• Turn the knob to maximum and burn off any fat and grease for five minutes after cooking.
• Clean the burners as described above after each use of the grill - residual marinades and fat/grease can cause damage to the metal parts of the grill.
• The burner holes can be cleaned with a pipe cleaner or similar.
Stainless grill grates
• Keep the grill grates clean by turning the burner knob to maximum and burning off fat and grease for five minutes after cooking. Use a grill grate
brush or similar to remove any particularly stubborn dirt.
• Wash the grates with hot water and washing-up liquid once or twice a season.
PLEASE NOTE! Do NOT use solvents!
Grill part
• Use a plastic or wooden scraper to scrape away grease/fat from the inside of the grill. Soapy water and a sponge is recommended for a more
thorough cleaning process. It is important to ensure that the regulator and valves do not become wet.
• It is important to keep the inside of the grill clean - otherwise there is a risk that residual fat and grease will ignite.
Drip tray
• Check the sand in the drip tray regularly to ensure that it is dry and clean. Replace the sand when necessary. (Use fine-grain sand or cat litter-box sand)
Outside/frame of the grill
• Use soapy water to clean the outside of the grill and then wipe it down to ensure that there is no residual marinade or fat/grease that could
corrode the grill.
