AUTO-CLEANING SYSTEM
• Set the adjustable steam knob (3) to the off position (
• Pour water into the tank.
• Set the temperature selector (6) to MAX position and plug the iron to the
mains.
• As soon as the indicator light (7) goes out, place the iron horizontally on a plate
or a container inside the sink and turn the steam knob (3) counterclockwise,
using a slight pressure until the symbol (
( ) on the iron. The steam control knob in this position will be loose. Lift it up
totally. At that time the steam and drops of water will begin to flow from the
orifices in the base of the iron draining the dirt and particles.
• Regularly remove the steam knob and clean the needle with water to take out
the lime which may be adhered to it.
• To replace the steam knob (3) to its original position, put the needle into the
hole making the lip of the axle coincide into its slot, press down and turn the
knob clockwise.
• If during the self-cleaning process the steam knob has not been removed,
press down and turn in the same direction.
• Do not forget to do this; Otherwise the iron will lose water from the sole
when it is put back into operation.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Before you proceed to cleaning the appliance ensure the appliance is
unplugged from the mains.
• The sole plate can be cleaned with a cloth soaked with vinegar. This whole
operation is more easily carried out when the sole plate is warm.
• The exterior parts of the iron may be cleaned with a slightly dampened cloth.
• Do not use abrasive or chemical products, metallic scourers, which may
deteriorate the surfaces of the appliance.
• To store the iron, ensure there is no water left in the tank, set the steam
control to the off position and always store in a vertical position.
