Remove exhaust bezels: Using 10 mm socket, remove (2) flange nuts from bottom of exhaust bezel, both sides. Remove exhaust bezels and keep for reinstallation.

Lower exhaust muffler: Using exhaust removal pliers and soapy water, remove rubber hangers at (2) locations. Be sure to support exhaust before removing rubber hangers. Gently
pull the bumper fascia rearward to lower the exhaust.

Remove foam pads: Using flat head screwdriver, remove (2) foam pads from side frame rails, both sides, see Figure 2.
removed in step 3. Raise the hitch into position and align it with weldnut location. Loosely install M12 bolts ① and ½'' conical washers ②, see Figure 1.
4.
Install hitch: Using channellock, slightly bend the end of rod located behind end panel outward, both sides, see Figure 2. Using wire brush, clean the weldnuts behind foam pads
5.
Tighten all M12 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Ft.-Lb. (103 N*M).
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
6.
Reinstall the exhaust muffler and bezels.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been damaged
should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and requirements for
connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
