NOTICE! Sordin cannot guarantee functionality with each specific 2-way radio. Check compatibility
before using the SHARE hearing protection with a 2-way radio.
Phone calls
To manage phone calls, the headset must be paired with a mobile phone (see Bluetooth pairing).
• To answer incoming call, tap the multifunction [  ] button (Fig.11.3), or say "Answer".
• To end call, tap the multifunction [  ] button (Fig.11.3).
• To reject a call, push the multifunction [  ] button (Fig.11.3) for 2 seconds.
• To redial the last called number, tap the multifunction [  ] button (Fig.11.3), wait until you hear
"Redial number" and tap again, or say "Hey Sordin, redial number".
• To dial your pre-set speed dial number (configured in Sordin SHARE app), tap the multifunction [  ]
button (Fig.11.3), wait until you hear "Speed dial" and tap again or say "Hey Sordin, speed dial".
Emergency call
A predefined emergency phone number can be configured in the Sordin SHARE app. When emergency
number is activated, SHARE will automatically share the call with all connected Intercom group members.
• To initiate emergency call, push Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4) for 2 seconds or say "Hey Sordin,
Emergency". Voice feedback "EMERGENCY CALL INITIATED".
• To cancel emergency call, push Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4) within 3 seconds.
Intercom group communication
Intercom groups can be managed by buttons in (Fig.11) as described below, or preferably in the Sordin
SHARE app.
• To create an intercom group by keypad,
1. The group creator and group members press the intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4) for 5 seconds,
until voice feedback "START GROUPING".
2. Then the group creator taps the Intercom button.
Other members can join the group within 2 minutes.
After grouping is completed, the intercom conversation starts automatically.
To stop the grouping process, press the intercom [   ]button (Fig.11.4) for 2 seconds.
• To join an existing intercom group,
1. The group creator and group member press the intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4) for 5 seconds, until
voice feedback "START GROUPING".
2. Then the group creator taps the Intercom button.
• To delete an Intercom group, press down the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4) for 5 seconds. Then
press down the Volume down [ – ] button (Fig.11.2) for 2 seconds.
• To start a private chat, tap the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4), wait until voice feedback "Private
chat on" and tap again, or say "Hey Sordin, private chat on".
• To stop a private chat, tap the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4), wait until voice feedback "Private chat
off" and tap again, or say "Hey Sordin, private chat off".
• To share a phone call with the intercom group conversation, during ongoing phone call, tap the
Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4). To stop sharing, tap the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4).
• To mute group, tap the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4), wait until voice feedback "Mute group" and
tap again.
• To unmute group, tap the Intercom [   ] button (Fig.11.4), wait until voice feedback "Unmute group"
and tap again.
2-way radio communication
To manage communication, the hearing protector must be connected with a 2-way radio either by
Bluetooth or customized cable.
NOTE! See Table 5 for required audio signal level (mVrms) to not exceed 82 dB(A) sound pressure level
inside the hearing protector.
• To transmit over two-way radio, hold [  ] button (Fig.11.5) and wait shortly before speaking. Release
button to end transmission.
• To choose if 2-way radio audio shall interrupt or mix with other audio, tap the Intercom [   ]
button (Fig.11.4), wait until voice feedback "Enable/disable 2- way radio audio mixing" and then tap
again.
