3. Characteristics, intended use

The Biral circulating pumps of the series
A 402 V2 KW, A 402-1 V2 KW, A 501 V2 KW, A 502 V2 KW
A 651 V2 KW, A 651-1 V2 KW, A 652 V2 KW, A 801 V2 KW
AD 402-1 V2 KW, AD 501 V2 KW, AD 502 V2 KW
AD 651 V2 KW, AD 652 V2 KW
are used to convey liquids in closed circulation systems,
such as cooling, air-conditioning and refrigerating equipment.
The pumps are suitable for use in systems with variable flow rates
(in controlled operation)
– Constant flow rates
(with optimum adjustment options for the operating mode)
– external speed specification

3.1 Requirement of the flow media

– Heating water with the usual water quality (e.g. VDI 2035)
– Water / glycol mix with a maximum of 50% glycol
– Pure, thin, non-explosive media
– Water hardness lower than 20° fH (14° dH)
Above this we recommend dry-running pumps
– With no fixed or long-fibre components or admixtures
of mineral oils
