4.4 Installation position

Delivered condition
The connector must not be
upside down as water may
penetrate it.
Before installation of the pump
the motor can be turned 90°.
To do this, loosen the 4 screws
on the casing and turn the
motor head into the permissible
motor position. Do not move
or damage the seal between
the motor and pump casing.
After engaging the screws,
tighten them over the cross.
This also applies to twin pumps.
Direction of flow
The arrow on the pump housing
indicates the direction of flow.
The motor shaft always
has to be horizontal,
never vertical.

4. Montage

4.1 Flushing out the heating system (with pump removed)
To avoid unwelcome operational disruptions and the pumps
not starting up after longer periods of downtime,
we recommend thorough flushing of newly installed
or converted systems.
4.2 Antifreeze (where necessary)
Important: Rinse the piping especially thoroughly before filling
with the antifreeze mixture. Follow the instructions
of the supplier of the antifreeze concerning mixing, filling,
and the selection of materials in the line and device network
(mind the corrosion protection!).
The water / glycol mixture may contain up to 50% glycol.
Correct the flow data for the pumps accordingly if there
is more than 10% glycol.

4.3 Installation

Only install after all of the welding and soldering has been
done on the system.
Install the pump casing into the unit when not under voltage.
