LEANING AND
Proper maintenance of your refrigerator is most important for efficient operation and economical
performance. Below are some simple suggestions for your consideration.
1.
Disconnect the power source before cleaning, remove all products, and place them in another
cooler.
2.
Clean the condenser at least once a month with a vacuum cleaner or brush. If the condenser coil
has accumulated dirt and grease (possible in certain heavy traffic areas or kitchen), use a strong
cleaning solution. If you find any oil in the condensing unit compartment, call a qualified service
person immediately.
3.
Keep the floor area around the fixture clean and orderly.
4.
Check the door operation and door seal. Doors must close by themselves and seal on all sides.
5.
Empty the drain pan located next to the condensing unit and clean it as required. Check it regularly
for excessive water accumulation.
6.
Replace any malfunctioning parts as soon as possible. Ask your dealer or service agency to order
the parts required.
7.
It is most important that the interior of the fixture be cleaned on a periodic basis. Remove the
product load.
8.
Use only mild soap or detergent to wash the interior and exterior. Rinse with warm baking soda
solution (one cup of baking soda to one gallon of warm water) and dry with a soft absorbent cloth.

water in container or CO2 pot. Then add ½ oz. cleaner for each 2 quarts water required (1 oz. to 1
gal.). For heavy build-up use 4-6 oz. per gallon of water. Run the solution into line. Leave it in the
line for 5 minutes... longer if the line is very old or has not been cleaned on a regular basis.
Thoroughly flush the lines until the rinse water is crystal clear. Federal Regulations (Food, Drug and
Cosmetic Act 201 (S)) recommend clean (potable) water be used.

quart of water. For first time use, or when oxalate build-up in the lines is extremely heavy, use 4-6
oz. per gallon of water. Run the solution into the line. Flush the system thoroughly with water before
retapping. Draw off the rinse water until beer appears. TASTE TEST beer before serving.
Note: If keg coupler and/or beer faucet were removed during the line cleaning, they must also be cleaned
using these solutions before they are reconnected to the beer system.
