WARNING

Under no circumstances should you try to repair
anything by yourself, as this will invalidate the
guarantee. Do not open the set as there is a risk of
electric shock.
PROBLEM
No sound
No sound on the
left or right side
Poor sound or no sound at SURROUND mode is not switched on.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
VOLUME is not correctly adjusted.
Headphones are connected.
The wrong source is selected.
One speaker is wrongly connected.
A speaker cable is damaged.
Volume balance in the receiver menu is
wrongly adjusted.
Surround and/or center speakers are not
(properly) connected.
Surround and/or center speakers are
switched off in the LS SETUP menu.
A speaker cable is damaged.
Speakers are not in phase.
Badly matching setting for the given type of
music or sound.
The level of the surround sound is not
properly adjusted.
The sound level of the center channel is not
properly adjusted.
A mono signal is reproduced.
Receiver or antenna is positioned near a
radiation source such as a TV, CD player,
CD recorder, DVD player, etc.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before
taking the speakers for repair.
If you are unable to solve a problem by following these hints,
consult your dealer or service center.
SOLUTION
Adjust the VOLUME.
Disconnect headphones.
Turn SOURCE SELECTOR to select the correct
source.
Connect the speaker properly.
Replace the cable.
Adjust VOL FR-L and VOL FR-R
in the receiver menu.
Press SURROUND ON/OFF to switch on the
surround sound.
Connect the speakers properly.
Set speaker present to YES.
Replace the cable.
Connect the coloured (or marked) wires to the
coloured terminals and the black (or unmarked)
wires to the black terminals.
Correct the sound settings on the receiver.
Adjust the level of the surround sound on
the receiver.
Adjust the level of the center channel
on the receiver.
Choose a different sound source or switch off
surround sound.
Change the position of the interfering unit
or try to switch it off.
