WARNING: Carry out the installation in a "workmanlike" manner, strictly following the installation instructions and
using suitable tools. Always consult your local building department for code requirements that must be respected
depending on its destination of use (private, secondary, public...).
Unpack each element before starting to assemble the staircase. Arrange them on a large surface and check the
number of parts against the attached parts list.
The staircase is supplied with one ascending direction (clockwise or anticlockwise, defined during design of the
ideal configuration, which determines the helical shape (clockwise or anticlockwise) of the handrail sections of
the railing. Therefore, it is unadvisable to invert the ascending direction so as not to compromise proper fitting.
To understand with which ascending direction the staircase has been supplied, read the description
of code 140051.
Preliminary assembly
1. Assemble the parts 001010 on the treads 103008 (Fig. 1).
2. Carefully measure the height from floor to floor to determine the number of plastic spacers 131030 or
131031. To determine the number of plastic spacers 131030 or 131031 required, use TAB. 2 for staircases
with spacers D73 (metal) and a staircase diameter of 110 and 120 cm, TAB. 3 for staircases with spacers
D75 (wood) and a staircase diameter of 110 and 120 cm, TAB. 4 for staircases with spacers D73 (metal)
and a staircase diameter of 130 and 140 cm, TAB. 5 for staircases with spacers D75 (wood) and a staircase
diameter of 130 and 140 cm (H = height, A = rises).
Example: for a measured height of 250 cm from floor to floor and a 140 cm diameter staircase with 13
treads and spacers D73 (metal), the following is required: see TAB. 4 : a) Read the number of plastic
spacers required in column H in correspondence to the height of 250 cm, i.e. 40 in column A/13. b) One at
a time distribute the plastic spacers in sequence above and below all the spacers D73 until they have all
been used up (keep the alignment with the injection point on the visible edge to improve aesthetics). Up to
a maximum of 3 plastic spacers can be fitted on the 1st spacer D73. Up to a maximum of 5 plastic spacers
can be fitted on the remaining spacers D73). The final result is 3 spacer rings on the 1st spacer D73 (2
above and 1 below), 4 plastic spacers on the 2nd spacer D73 (2 above and 2 below), 3 plastic spacers on
the eleven remaining spacers (2 above and 1 below).
3. Determine the number of end, intermediate and joining balusters (Fig. 1) (Fig. 7):
Warning: Take into account that the length of the rods provided cover the railing over a maximum of three
treads. Consequently, you need to fit one joining baluster (z) every three treads.
a) End baluster assembly (x): fit the part 011071 in the hole of the baluster 127031 or 127035 on the
countersink side. From the other side fit the part 033159 and then the part 031096 and screw on. Assemble
the part 033158 in the balusters 127031 or 127035 with the hole on the countersink side and finally
tighten. The parts 001027 and 001028 are already fitted in the part 033158.
Fit the part 033078 in the part 033158. Screw on with the part 011072.
b) Intermediate baluster assembly (y): Screw the part 001011 into the part 034040 without tightening.
Fit the part 011070 in the hole of the baluster 127031 or 127035 on the countersink side and screw it on
with the parts 001011+034040. Assemble the part 033158 in the balusters 127031 or 127035 with the
hole on the countersink side and finally tighten. The parts 001027 and 001028 are already fitted in the part
033158.
Fit the part 033191 in the part 033158. Screw on with the part 011072.
c) Rod joining baluster assembly (z): fit the part 011071 in the hole of the baluster 127031 or 127035
on the countersink side. On the other side fit the part 033159, overlay the part 033160 and screw it on.
Assemble the part 033158 in the baluster 127031 or 127035 with the hole on the countersink side and
finally tighten. The parts 001027 and 001028 are already fitted in the part 033158.
Fit the part 033078 in the part 033158. Screw on with the part 011072.
Cutting the arrival landing
4. To define and trace the cutting line of the round landing, operate as follows:
1) carefully measure the floor opening.
2) calculate the centre of the floor opening.
3) trace the shape of the round opening in proximity of the landing floor on a piece of the packaging
cardboard; cut the cardboard and position it symmetrically on the lower part (underside) of the landing at a
distance with respect to the centre equal to half the opening previously measured (Fig. 3).
5. To define and trace the cutting lines of triangular or trapezoidal landings, operate as follows:
1) carefully measure the floor opening.
