6. Press the power level setting and on/off button (5A): the green power level 1 LED
(5B) lights up and the ventilation system is activated (you will hear a sound similar
to that of a hair dryer).
7. About 1 second after having pressed the power level setting and on/off button
(5A), the skin colour/device-is-ready LED (5C) lights up: the device is automatically
set to the lowest power level.
8. Set the energy level that you wish to use for the treatment. To set the energy level,
follow the directions provided in the 'Information before use' chapter.
9. Apply the treatment surface (1A) firmly on the skin. Only when the treatment surface
(1A) and the galvanic energy base electrode are entirely in contact with the skin,
the skin colour/device-is-ready LED (5C) starts to flash slowly. Be sure to touch
the galvanic energy base electrode (7) located on the back of the appliance, with
your hand, to activate the galvanic energy circuit.
10. Press the pulse activation button (2). The appliance will immediately check your
skin colour: if the skin colour is fair enough for safe application the appliance
will activate the galvanic energy circuit and you may experience a slight tingling
sensation. This is a normal sensation: galvanic energy helps open the pores,
improving the action of the light pulse. Immediately afterwards, the appliance
delivers the light pulse onto your skin, accompanied by a sound, and the skin
colour/device ready indicator light (5C) switches off. A slight tingling sensation
may be felt. Stop using the appliance immediately if excessive heat or tingling is
felt or blisters or small burns appear on the skin.
Note: if the appliance does not emit a light pulse and the skin colour/device-is-
ready LED (15) flashes rapidly, the skin tone is too dark for safe application. Try
to use the appliance on another part of the body.
11. Remove the treatment surface (1A) from the treated area.

12. A few seconds (depending on the power level set) after the previous pulse is
emitted, the skin colour/device-is-ready LED (5C) goes on again.
13. Select the application mode to continue the treatment.
By pulse method
14A.Move the treatment surface (1A) to another section. Use the pressure marks
left previously to place the treatment surface on the adjacent section, avoiding
overlapped pulses (See "Covering the entire treatment area").
15A.Repeat the process, starting from point 8, until the entire area to be treated is covered.
sliding method
14B.Keep the pulse activation button (2) pressed and slide the device in a slow gliding
motion while remaining in contact with the skin, along the area to be treated. The
recharging time between pulses allows for an uninterrupted sequence of flashes.
Make sure the entire area you intend to treat is covered while avoiding to go over
the same area a number of timed during the same session.

16. Press the power level setting and on/off button (5A): all the LEDs will flash sequentially.
17. Remember the power level used for the treatment session as this will be reset
when the appliance is next switched on.
18. Disconnect the adaptor cable (8) from the socket.
