• Do not switch the unit on without water. If an empty kettle is turned on, the safety fuse will deactivate it
automatically.
• Let the kettle cool, then fi ll it with cold water and you may use it again.
• Extra care should be taken while opening the lid when refi lling the hot kettle with water – RISK OF
SCALDING!
• Take precautions to avoid scalding with hot water while handling the kettle. Always hold the kettle by the
handle, as the vessel can be hot and may burn you.
• Pour the hot water slowly – excessive tilting may cause the water to fl ow through the lid – RISK OF
SCALDING!
• Do not use abrasive or chemically aggressive substances to clean the appliance.
• Do not use the unit if it does not operate properly, or if it has been dropped, damaged or exposed to any
liquids. Have the appliance tested and repaired by an authorised service centre.
• Never use the appliance if the supply cable or plug has been damaged; have the defect repaired
immediately by an authorised service centre.
• The appliance is not designed for outdoor use.
• The appliance is intended for household use only, not for commercial use.
• Do not immerse the supply cable, the plug, or the appliance itself in water or any other liquid.
