TROUBLESHOOTING

PROBLEM
Coffee maker
does not turn on.
Coffee maker
is leaking.
The brew basket
overflows.
Coffee sediment in
brewed cup of
coffee.
The coffee maker
brews slowly.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Coffee maker is not
plugged in.
Water reservoir may be
overfilled.
Cover may not be
correctly placed on
carafe.
Carafe may not be
correctly placed on
the carafe plate.
Excessive amount of
coffee is used.
The paper filter and/or
the brew basket are
not properly placed.
The coffee maker
needs
cleaning.
SOLUTION
Make sure appliance is
plugged into a working
outlet.
Make sure water reservoir
has not been filled
beyond the MAX line.
Make sure lid is
correctly placed and
tightened on carafe.
Make sure carafe is
placed securely onto
the carafe plate.
Reduce the amount of
coffee used.
Insert basket-shaped
paper filter into brew
basket and insert basket
properly into holder.
Follow the instructions
in the "Cleaning with
Vinegar" section.
